Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Dentist to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dental clinic, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing high-quality patient care.
- Coordinate clinical functions of a dental clinic
- Provide professional dental care
- Manage work schedules of subordinate staff
- Advise in personnel matters relating to the dental staff
- Maintain dental budget
- Orientate new staff members and provide support staff training
Requirements
To qualify for this position, applicants must have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Applicants must also have passed the National Board Dental Examinations and possess a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Additionally, applicants must have one or more full years of experience performing professional dentistry work for GS-12 level and above assignments.
