About the Job
This position oversees all aspects of the dental program. The purpose is to provide dental care in the clinic and communities of the service area.
The job involves supervising dentists, dental hygienists, and supervisory dental assistants. It also includes developing, monitoring, and managing the annual operating budget.
The successful candidate will perform endodontic, prosthodontic, periodontic, pedodontic, operative, and preventive orthodontic services.
Requirements for this position include a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited school.
A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry is also required.
Additional requirements include at least one year of specialized experience in coordinating clinical functions, managing staff schedules, and advising on personnel matters.
The selected individual must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily clinical functions of a Dental Clinic
- Manage work schedules of subordinate staff
- Advise on personnel matters relating to the dental staff
- Participate in Quality Assurance program development and implementation
- Assist in orientating new staff members on Infection Control procedures
