Duties This position is a mission critical occupation for HRSA.This position is involved in the analysis of system and / or security requirements, the development and implementation of mission critical applications for the agency's Information Technology operations.Major Duties : As a Supervisory IT Specialist, Desktop Engineer you will be overseeing and directing a team of information technology specialists and engineers to provide high quality Tier 3 support for the Desktop Support team (Tier 1 and 2); implementing policies, procedures, and systems to streamline Tier 3 support operations.Your major duties and responsibilities include : Identifying and implementing process improvements with a strong emphasis on automation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.Ensuring processes are in place to maintain the IT security of DEUS managed devices and systems, and that vulnerabilities and risks are identified and mitigated promptly.Coordinating vulnerability remediation for infrastructure including, but not limited to, desktop computers, printers, and software applications.Ensuring efficient and effective delivery of Tier 3 desktop support, management, and engineering.Maintaining security using Active Directory group policies to enforce secure configuration settings.NOTE : Do not cut and paste the duties, specialized experience, or occupational assessment questionnaire from this announcement into your resume as that will not be considered a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentU.
