Nature of Work
Located in the Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services (OEPS), Division of STD, HIV, Hepatitis and TB (DSHHT) the Ryan White Part B Program (RYPB) Director is a member of the Division's senior management team who oversees and performs complex professional work in the Ryan White Part B program.
Program activities include oversight to three programs within the Ryan White part B program including: AIDS Drug Assistance Program; Clinical Quality Management Program, and the Linkage to Care Program, as well as, grant writing to secure funding and ensures successful implementation of federal grant objectives related to Ryan White, including monitoring and evaluation of program activities for the delivery of services expected by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and fiscal oversight of federal grants and state appropriations for HIV prevention.
This position also works with Ryan White Part B constituents and other community partners as needed to achieve the mission and vision of the Ryan White Part B Program to reduce the burden of HIV in WV, as well as represents WV at both the state and national level conferences.
Position will be responsible for:
- Providing direct and indirect supervision for the employees of the RWPB program and the sub-programs including Clinical Quality Management, Drug Assistance, and Linkage to Care
- Conducting employee evaluations, hiring staff, disciplinary actions, approval of leave and other daily supervisory tasks
- Attending and leading program staff meetings; attending other internal and external meetings, state and national conferences representing WV
- Providing leadership for staff development, training ongoing education
- Leading and serving as point of contact for regulatory audits/surveys related to assigned programs
- Development, review and revision of RWPB plans, policies, procedures, and Standards of Care
Minimum Qualifications
Training: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in the area of assignment.
Substitution: One year of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as described below may substitute for the Master's degree.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional experience in the area of assignment, two years of which must have been in a program administration capacity.
Substitution: Post-graduate training in the area of assignment may substitute through an established formula for the non-supervisory experience.

Pay: $52,487.00 - $92,680.00 per year
