Job Summary: The Department of Homeland Security is seeking an experienced Clinical Care Specialist to work in our ICE Health Service Corps. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to detainees in our facilities.
You will work under the general administrative supervision of the Health Services Administrator with clinical oversight provided by the Clinical Director or designee.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive history and physical evaluations, behavioral health care, and minor outpatient surgical procedures as required by IHSC policy.
Additionally, you will coordinate health care needs of detainees including referrals to off-site consultants and take appropriate infection control actions in accordance with IHSC policy and guidance.
Required qualifications include licensure by a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territory of the United States, and national board certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (APRN) or the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC).
