Bilingual differential pay is provided to positions that require to use a language other than English to fulfill their job duties within their position. Bilingual differential pay is 5% of the employee's base pay.

Summary of Duties
As a Family Coach (Human Services Case Manager) you will:
As a Family Coach, you will conduct interviews to determine family needs and eligibility. You will explore alternate resources and link clients to community services. You will complete program applications for program benefits and, if eligible, issue appropriate support payments. You will engage clients in the family evaluation of strengths. You will jointly develop a case plan and identify the family's steps towards self-sufficiency. You will monitor progress and conditions and make necessary modifications to the case plan. Lastly, you will initiate and participate in case staffing, employment readiness, life skills training, and support job search, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
- Three years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing); OR
- An Associate's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science or a closely related field and two years of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing); OR
- A Bachelor's degree in any field and one year of human services related experience (i.e., work providing assistance to individuals and groups with issues such as economically disadvantaged, employment, abuse and neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, prevention, health, cultural competencies, inadequate housing); OR
- A Bachelor's degree in a Behavioral Science, Social Science, or a closely related field.

- Experience applying lessons-learned to varying environments and situations; welcoming constructive feedback and suggestions to strengthen work performance.
- Demonstrated experience developing meaningful and inclusive relationships with colleagues that foster trust, collaboration and respect.
- Experience using time management, organization and prioritization skills to meet deadlines in a fast paced, high productivity environment.
- Experience explaining technical information such as rules or procedures verbally and in writing to individuals and groups who are unfamiliar with the subject and/or communicate differently than you.

Working Conditions
- The work schedule is 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday – Friday in-person at the assigned ODHS branch office. This is not a hybrid or remote work position.
- Employee's work is conducted in offices, participant homes, and other public settings throughout the local community based on the participants’ needs.
- Hours of work may vary from day to day and may include evenings and weekends. Overtime must be pre-approved.
- Some overnight travel may be required to attend statewide meetings and training.
- Works in an integrated office environment where diverse programs, partners and staff create the work team.
- May require sitting at a terminal or telephone for prolonged periods of the workday.
