Desirable Qualifications
- Knowledge of friction ridge analysis to complete comparisons and identifications.
- Knowledge of the automated fingerprint and palm print systems to identify prints.
- Apply ACE-V methodology for friction ridge examinations.
- Make the most difficult friction ridge comparisons and/or identifications.
- Analyze difficult friction ridge detail for proper latent comparison.
- Prepare exhibits for use in court to properly illustrate findings and/or conclusions.
- Interpret laws, rules, requirements, and regulations to ensure compliance with program and accreditation standards.
- The principles of the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to the requirement of the International ISO/IEC 17020 to ensure compliance with the standard.
- Write detailed and specific procedures and processes outlining the steps to follow in completing departmental, program, and/or project tasks.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Willingness and ability to work independently off-site and outside of regularly scheduled shift when needed.
- Develop and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Demonstrate tact and good judgment.
- Knowledge of the automated print databases.
- Ability to make difficult latent print comparisons and identifications.
- Willingness to travel by various means and be away from home for an extended period of time.
