Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily activities of juvenile residents to ensure their safety and compliance with facility regulations.
- Implement behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies to maintain order.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including monitoring CCTV systems for security purposes.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, behavior observations, and resident progress.
- Administer first aid and CPR as necessary in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement rehabilitation programs tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and incidents within the facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or social work is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus additional training in conflict management is a plus.
- Previous experience in law enforcement or correctional settings is advantageous.
- Strong report writing skills to document incidents clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and their operation is beneficial.
- Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to rehabilitating youth offenders through positive engagement.
