District Manager – Roanoke District Office
Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
The Virginia DMV is seeking an experienced and results-driven District Manager to lead operations in our Roanoke District Office. This role is responsible for directing the strategic implementation, administration, and evaluation of DMV programs and services across a network of customer service centers within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all aspects of district operations, including fiscal oversight, service delivery, and program effectiveness.
Ensure customers receive services that are efficient, courteous, and professionally delivered.
Uphold the ethical and lawful application of programs and services in alignment with state and federal laws and DMV accountability standards.
Serve as a key liaison for change management initiatives related to policy updates, technology rollouts, structural changes, and more, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to the public.
Provide leadership for all DMV programs and services within the district’s customer service centers.
Maintain the appropriate balance between strong security measures and a positive customer service experience.
Oversee human resources functions, including staffing, training, and performance management, while also monitoring district budgets and expenditures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Strong customer service orientation, ensuring high satisfaction across service centers.
- Knowledge of budget management, inventory control, facilities management, and human resources.
- Supervisory experience managing large teams or multiple sites, ideally in DMV or regulatory settings.
- Familiarity with regulatory and policy compliance for DMV and related state and federal standards.
- Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities for complex operational issues.
- Excellent communication skills for both oral and written interactions. Time management and multi-tasking capabilities.
