What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSOCIATE ACCOUNTING ANALYST position at Department of Parks & Recreation?
The reporting location for this position is Headquarters in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Staff Services Manager I.
Under the general direction of the Statewide Bond Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent will independently perform complex accounting duties for Proposition 84, the Safe Drinking Water, Water Quality and Supply, Flood Control, River and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2006. These duties require an understanding of the entire accounting process, and the ability to: analyze and forecast data; review proposals to change accounting procedures; prepare accurate and meaningful reports; and lead accounting efforts related to closing out the bond. Duties require considerable contact with the accounting administrators and/or the chief accounting officer for the 18 recipient departments, the budget offices of the departments, and staff at state control agencies.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible-remote centered.
