Under the close supervision of the Staff Management Auditor, the Staff Services Management Auditor (SSMA) works individually and in teams to perform financial and investigative audits throughout the United States to determine industry compliance with State and federal requirements regarding sales of pesticide products into or within California and payment of mill assessment fees. The Staff Services Management Auditor will assist with the more difficult audits of Pesticide Registrants, Dealers, and Brokers involving complex and intricate compliance aspects related to the sale of pesticide products into or within California, and consults with supervisor on issues requiring course of action guidance, policy decision, or legal interpretation. Travel overnight throughout the United States will vary between 25 percent to 40 percent of the time.
