- Supervisory and Managerial Experience: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff effectively, ensuring efficient operations and team performance.
- Knowledge of State Policies and Procedures: Familiarity with state policies, rules, and standards, particularly those related to civil service processes and governmental budgeting and accounting.
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills, with the capacity to present information clearly and persuasively.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work cooperatively with various levels of staff, including high-level departmental management and executive staff.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Proficiency in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workloads, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in Policy Development and Implementation: Capability to recommend, develop, and implement policies and procedures effectively.
- Educational Background: Education equivalent to graduation from college is often considered an additional desirable qualification.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts in a professional manner, and with integrity and respect;
- Ability to help facilitate expeditious resolution of problems from in-person requests, incoming phone calls and emails;
- Knowledge of DOR resources and processes, RAM, and federal and state Code of Regulations;
- High level of organizational skills and office equipment and processes proficiency;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Knowledge of department's mission and goals;
- Experience communicating with and providing information regarding DOR services to applicants and consumers
