What are the responsibilities and job description for the DISABILITY EVALUATION SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR III position at Department of Social Services?
Under the general director and guidance of an Assistant Deputy Director (CEA-B), the Branch Chief, Disability Evaluation Services Administrator (DESA) Ill, will manage, plan, organize, direct and evaluate the overall evaluation, analysis, processing, and reporting in the development and adjudication of disability claims in their Branch's jurisdiction. In this capacity, the Branch Chief articulates, interprets and implements Federal, Departmental, Division and Branch policies, regulations and procedures.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for hybrid telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Specific telework arrangements may be discussed in more detail with the respective hiring manager. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Social Services policies. - The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
This position requires Federal fingerprint clearance and background check. Criminal record checks of prospective full- or part-time CDSS, Disability Determination Service Division (DDSD) personnel will be conducted. Applicants for this position will be required to submit fingerprints for Federal processing. Federal clearance is a condition of employment for this position. (Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12) Subject to Social Security Administration hiring authority and the SROA/SURPLUS policies. Internal candidates are encouraged to apply. All applications will be screened and only the most qualified will be interviewed.
This position is designated under the Conflict-of-Interest Code.
This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
