The CDSS Community Care Licensing Division is currently accepting applications for a Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) for the Oakland South East Child Care Regional Office.
Under the supervision of the Licensing Program Manager I (LPM I) in the Oakland South East Child Care Regional Office, the Child Care Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) is responsible for a full range of licensing duties which may include: develop and implement orientations, training programs; review applications; recommend license approval/denial; review, evaluate and verify applicant and staff qualifications; perform on-site facility evaluations; investigate complaints in licensed and unlicensed facilities; recommend and prepare administrative actions to deny, revoke, and suspend facility licenses. Spanish bilingual preferred but not required.

Working Conditions
This is an office-centered position; however, occasional telework may be permitted.
Use of a computer for several hours a day which involves sitting most of the time but may include walking, climbing stairs, or standing for brief periods. Attend meetings, workshops and training associated with job duties. Work hours and schedules may vary. Ability to travel frequently. Spanish bilingual preferred but not required.
The reporting location for this position will be 1515 Clay Street in the city of Oakland, CA. The office location has childcare and paid parking available. In addition, the office has nearby restaurants, freeway access, and is walking distance to the BART station. The service areas for this position are Alameda and Contra Costa.

Department Information
It is the mission of the Community Care Licensing Division to promote the health, safety, and quality of life of each person in community care through the administration of an effective, collaborative regulatory enforcement system.

Special Requirements
This position is subject to fingerprinting clearance by the Department of Justice.
