15% -Travel required to conduct site visits, audits, attend in person meetings, trainings, in Sacramento, Los Angeles, Riverside, Imperial and San Diego counties.
20% - Project Management, Data and Reporting. Responsible for program documentation, doctrine, research, analysis, and strategy; as well as implementation of training, technical assistance, monitoring and evaluation, and issue triage for mission partners. Collaborating with staff to ensure timely status responses to executive leadership and stakeholders pertaining to contracts administration and contract/project management, including, reports, budgets, expenditures, etc.
35% - Responsible for disseminating information and updates of current and new laws, rules, and regulations that govern efforts of Rapid Response Management, Contract Administration, Contract Management, and Project Management efforts. Provides consultation to staff in the development and implementation of new and existing standardize operating processes, procedures, and trainings to ensure effective border response is provided.
15% - Border Operations Management and Activities. Develop, propose, and implement multiple program policies, procedures, and protocols. Provide feedback and oversight to staff by identifying, proposing, and implementing temporary and long-term solutions to immediate and long-term issues deemed necessary for a specific site. Organize and oversee program improvement identified by staff and other stakeholders that specifically focus on improving service to a diverse migrant population. Serve as the subject matter and technical expert by providing guidance on border response sheltering activities, including updates on
staff workload arrangements and oversight of the development and implementation for the border migrant arrival sheltering response and process. Consult with leadership to negotiate with local and state partners regarding planning and development, issues and operations, including service and system gaps. Leads and directs policy and protocol development, recommendations, implementation, and strategic planning that support meeting the border responses. Effectively communicate with staff, state, federal, county, and non-profit agencies and stakeholders on highly sensitive topics or issues. Work closely with staff responsible for speaking to public and private agencies, groups, and organizations.
10% - Coordinates and attends regular training sessions and meetings as required. Support border response effort as needed by SSM II.
5% - Other duties as assigned.

The Immigrant Integration Branch (IIB) ensures the effective development, implementation, and administration of programs to immigrants throughout the State of California. The IIB also supports departmental and interdepartmental immigrant- integration initiatives. Staff will perform rapid response or recovery activities related to border response efforts that may require travel to various locations across Riverside, San Diego and Imperial Counties and additional locations as needed.
