The Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero is a secure public sector hospital providing inpatient forensic services for mentally ill adult males who are court committed throughout the State of California
The Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (DSH-Atascadero) Human Resources Division is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to fill the role of a Staff Services Manager III as the Human Resources Director (HRD). The HRD is responsible for the overall management of the Human Resources Department at DSH-A and works collaboratively with the other HRDs at the facilities on statewide issues and policies. This includes Employee Relations, Training, Labor Relations, Payroll & Benefits, Classification & Pay, Employment, Return to Work, and the Employee Assistance Program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Either I: One year of experience in the California state service performing the duties of a Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) or Staff Services Manager II (Managerial).
Or II: Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible management, personnel, fiscal, planning, program evaluation, or related analytical experience which shall have included the preparation of reports and the presentation of recommendations to management beyond the trainee level, at least two years of which must have been in a supervisory capacity
And Education: Equivalent to graduation from college.
