METROPOLITAN STATE HOSPITAL- Located in Norwalk, Los Angeles County
Candidates must be willing to work in any Unit/Program and any shift to meet the needs of the facility.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direction of a Senior Psychologist, the Clinical Psychologist participates in a multidisciplinary treatment team providing assessments, diagnostic clarification, and treatment for patients, in a State Hospital setting. The candidate is expected to work with a population which has been adjudicated, PC1370 incompetent to stand trial, PC1026 not guilty be reason of insanity, or committed under LPS conservatorship. Experience working with patients in a forensic setting, and/or a locked psychiatric facility, serving patients with acute mental illness, is strongly desired. Knowledge of forensic psychological assessments, and procedures is critical.
