DutiesOversee programs involving (1) security guard and police operations (both land and marine), (2) physical security, (3) personnel security, (4) anti-terrorism, (5) fire and emergency services. (6) emergency management.Perform a wide range of managerial tasks in planning, managing, directing and evaluating law enforcement and emergency management / incident command operations with full authority to make decisions and commit to a course of action.Provide direction, guidance, advice, and assistance to all installation activities on the anti-terrorism / force protection (AT / FP) program; and develops the installation AT / FP Plan.Develop Crisis Management Plans, procedures, and guidance for response to incidents, accidents, and attacks.Initiate and / or oversee development of Likely Threat Models and evaluates effectiveness of Response and Security Plans.Represent the terminal on emergency management / incident command matters.Exercise full supervisory responsibility for law enforcement, security, emergency management, fire and emergency services.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAppointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.This position is designated Key. Please see "Additional Information" section for more details.May be required to take the series of anthrax vaccine immunizations to include annual boosters. This may also include other immunizations that may in the future be required for this position.This is a Non-Critical Sensitive position requiring the incumbent to obtain and retain a Secret Clearance.This is a Drug Testing Position. Position requires that employee pass screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and subsequent periodic drug screening thereafter.Must qualify for weapon access under the provisions of the "Lautenberg Amendment".Must qualify using a 9MM pistol, M4 rifle and 12-gauge shotgun.This position may require some TDY travel - approximately 25%. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade / level position in the federal service (GS-12).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
