Job Description:
Duties
The position involves leading and managing a team of engineers focused on the development and demonstration of advanced structures and subsystem technologies in support of Army Aviation.
Responsibilities include all aspects of program management and execution of the Army Science and Technology Portfolio for the Structures Branch.
Key tasks involve communicating with leadership in strategic planning discussions to set the direction and priorities for the overall Aviation S and T portfolio, as well as representing and communicating all Structures Branch activities for internal/external customers.
Requirements
This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 30% of the time.
The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Selectee must be able to submit a OGE 450, Financial Disclosure Statement at the time of appointment and annually, thereafter.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirement and specialized experience requirement listed below.
Basic Requirement: A degree in engineering from an accredited school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience in leadership, structural engineering, project management, and oral/written communication.
