What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer position at Department of the Chief Information Officer?
The Deputy Chief Information Security Officer position is in the Department of the Chief Information Office (DCIO), Information Technology Security Office (ITSO). ITSO manages the judiciary's IT security program; promotes the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the judiciary's IT; oversees the judiciary's security operations; proposes national IT security policies; and establishes collaborative relationships with third-party partners to ensure the judiciary's IT security.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience with ALLof the following:
- High-level organizational and business strategy (e.g., staffing and planning, budget formulation, long-term risk management and risk outlay planning).
- IT strategic planning and understanding of risk.
- Highly sensitive environments (background investigations, high security).
- Experience managing cyber operations in a 24/7 security operations center.
- Developing people (leading and organizing, leading change management).
- 7-10 years of experience high-level organizational and business strategy (e.g., staffing and planning, budget formulation, long-term risk management and risk outlay planning), IT strategic planning and understanding risk, highly sensitive environments (background investigations, high security), and developing people (leading and organizing, leading change management)
- Familiarity with cyber operations in a 24/7 security operations center.
- Familiarity with performing security assessments using defined standards.
- Experience managing contract teams at a national or enterprise level.
- Experience incorporating data into the decision-making process.
- Experience presenting to various audiences including senior executives and technical staff.
- CISM, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
