Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will provide staff and management support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Procurement (DASN(P)). You will provide analysis and recommendations to improve essential management and business policies and processes. You will work advanced knowledge of government and agency specific guidelines and business practices, including statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures and the different types of contracts. You will represent the DASN(P) at higher levels with the implementation of procurement regulations, directives and policies. Conducts procurement evaluations, assessments and peer reviews. Develops reports and makes operational recommendations. You will provide surveillance over operating activities and identifies and assesses recurring contracting issues. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Experience carrying out both short-term and long-term strategic planning. Offering administrative and program support groups technical help. Experience with the power and obligation to defend the DASN(P) stance, influence resource allocation, and make significant changes to programs and objectives. Experience creating intricate and compelling written and / or spoken presentations for management at all governmental and business levels. Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website : Information Technology (IT) Management Series 2210 (Alternative A) Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
