Summary : You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Security Directorate of DON / AA.
Responsibilities :
- You will serve as a technical authority in the development of security regulations and policies, analyze conflicting laws, policies, and regulations, and disseminate current security policies to ensure program objectives.
- You will coordinate the objectives of two or more specialized programs, serve on interagency or inter-organizational groups, and identify and assign responsibilities to resolve security issues.
- You will resolve problems involving the implementation of security guidelines at lower levels, inspect security programs for adequacy and efficiency, and identify any needs for improvement.
- You will serve as a source of security program knowledge, interpret organizational level policy, assist in the development of local policies, and resolve issues regarding conflicting security requirements.
- You will serve as a representative and technical expert for the organization on interagency committees and working groups, and formulate general program guidance for implementation in order to meet objectives.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following :

This position has been designated as a Security Profession Educational Development (SPeD), designated position; Security Fundamentals Professional Certification is requested within two years of assuming the position and must be maintained through the entire length of appointment.
