What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ballistic Missile Defense Program Coordinator position at Department of The Navy?
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will be responsible for:
- In-service engineering, including readiness, sustainment, operations, and maintenance
- Providing technical and programmatic guidance for personnel and support contractors assigned to SBWS projects
- Budget management, program review coordination, POM participation, financial planning, and development of Statements of Work
- Directing, coordinating, and overseeing SBWS work across departments
- Making decisions on technical and fiscal issues
The TPM will work within the budgetary and programmatic environment established by Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other major sponsors. They will serve as an expert in weapon/combat system engineering and contribute to the development, evolution, and execution of policy, strategy, and initiatives in support of the Command's mission.
Please note that this position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS, including remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
