About the Position
The Department of The Navy seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Lead to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will provide technical leadership for the development, system introduction, and sustainment of current and future ALRE systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior technical advice and expertise to NAWCAD and NAVAIR leadership, PEOs, SYSCOMS, Academia, and Industry to support programs of record, in-service systems, and ongoing research.
- Lead and direct critical reviews of technologies, system development assessments, and sustainment strategies to support equipment and legacy aircraft launch and recovery.
- Oversee execution of technical projects to ensure compliance with customer & fleet requirements, engineering standards, critical safety/quality requirements/policies, cost and schedule.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-04 or comparable GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
- Successful completion of a professional engineering degree from an accredited school of engineering or registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE).
- Must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
