Duties As a Human Resources Specialist (Employee and Labor Relations), you will : Provide advice and guidance to supervisors regarding methods to correct poor employee performance or behavior problems and assist supervisors in correcting individual instances of work deficiencies and poor performance by subordinates.Adverse / Disciplinary Actions : May represent the Agency, or provide technical advice to agency legal staff, Chief, Employee and Labor Relations Branch in the preparation of defenses to appeals, grievances, and discrimination complaints brought against the United States Mint involving local and national issues.Conduct 5 USC 7114 (c) reviews of supplemental and mid-term labor agreements negotiated by the Mint field location.Coordinate and monitor the Labor-Management Relations (LMR) critical incident reporting system that tracks Unfair Labor Practices (ULP), arbitration, unit petitions, significant grievances, and local supplemental and mid-term negotiations.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentAll employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines.A one-year probationary period may be required.Must successfully complete a background investigation.Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit / Electronic Funds Transfer.If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so.Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9.
