Department Information
Department of Water Resources (DWR) was established in 1956 by the California State Legislature. We manage California’s water resources, systems, and infrastructure, including the State Water Project, in a responsible sustainable way.
At DWR, we are embedding climate change response into every project we undertake. Must be willing to work irregular hours during outages or in emergencies. Ability to communicate effectively as a team member. Excellent organizational skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The individual must also be dependable, demonstrate completed staff work, have the ability to follow directions, have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and have the ability to interact professionally and cooperatively with the public and staff.
