Role : Direct Care Staff PRN
Position Title : Residential Care Specialist PRN -
Classification : PRN (On Call, as needed)
Available Shifts : A Shift : 7 : 00 am - 3 : 00 pm
B Shift 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 00 pm C Shift : 11 : 00 pm - 7 : 00 am
Reports to : House Manager
Location : LaPorte, TX
Benefits eligible : Matching Retirement
Position Description :
The Residential Care Specialist PRN will be the front-line worker responsible for day-to-day operations of the milieu. The Residential Care Specialist is also responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the children and youth assigned to their care, as well as the coordination and implementation of the interventions and activities designed to promote growth and a stable environment as they move through the program toward independent living.
Required Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work a minimum of two (2) shifts per month.
- Relevant experience working with children and / or adolescents.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR (May be obtained upon hire)
- Must participate in behavior management and physical restraint training once hired.
