Position: Family Services Specialist
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Reports to: Training Manager
Location: New Braunfels, TX

Position Description:
The Family Services Specialist is part of a team that is responsible for the recruitment, development, pre-service and on-going training and support of the foster parents/homes. Primary responsibilities include, the recruitment of foster parents, assistance with the application and verification process of prospective foster parents, assist in various compacities with pre-service and on-going training of foster parents, and assist in the development of building community relationships and market research to promote the success and growth of the program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services OR three (3) years' experience with a child-placing agency in lieu of degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in residential treatment setting and/or child placing agency.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledgeable in treatment milieu, intervention skills, strategies, and structure.
- Knowledge of training and adult learning.
- Knowledge of Social Work practices.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professional, confidential work environment.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force.
- Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.
- Environment: Office, Community
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Travel: Occasional
