Position: Purchasing and Mail Room Distribution Clerk
Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Manager, Billing Purchasing and Accounts Payable
Location: Houston, TX

Position Description:
The Purchasing and Mail Room Distribution Clerk is responsible for performing mail room, general office, accounting and purchasing functions for the agency in a professional and timely manner with a high level of organizational skills. Primary responsibilities include collecting and distributing mail daily, maintaining agency forms and stationery, preparing monthly postage expense report, order supplies agency wide and manage purchase orders/invoice, manage lease/purchase agreements for copiers and postage meter, process accounts payable invoices and credit cards statements and set up new vendor profiles in accounting software.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of general office or mail room clerk and purchasing experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Accounting practices.
- Mathematical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
Work Conditions:
- Environment: Office
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, Occasional nights or weekends
- Travel: Occasional, Local
