Position Description:
The Staff Accountant will assist the Manager, Financial Reporting, in performing professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records and related duties.

Position Description:
The Staff Accountant will assist the Manager, Financial Reporting, in performing professional accounting work including the examination, analysis, maintenance, reconciliation, and verification of financial records and related duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare and assist in preparing 990 tax return schedules, governmental surveys, UW reports, cost reports, annual insurance renewal form and nonprofit renewal for Better Business Bureau
- Prepare monthly journal entries
- Maintain the temporary restricted funds and prepare reports for management
- Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and ageing reports
- Maintain Agency fixed asset55 records and related schedules
- Assist in year-end audits, single audit, and fund audits
- Support various special projects and process improvement initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Three (3) years accounting experience.
- Three (3) years Not-for-profit accounting experience.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Accounting practices.
- Mathematical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Environment: Hybrid – Office
- Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
