As the Manager of Business and Contracting Development, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and strategic planning for our business development department. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Manages the development and continuous refinement of the agency’s comprehensive business development plan, within the scope of the changing health care environment.
  • Social media, online review, and website oversite.
  • Consult with the CEO, CFO and senior management staff in overseeing, developing, and implementing agency business development strategies.
  • Develop and implement monthly, seasonal, and annual strategies and evaluate results correspondingly.
  • Provides network development/expansion, provider relationships, and refinement activities in support of cross-market network management.
  • Leads contracting efforts including negotiating contract deal terms and support the development and implementation of value-based contract relationships, serving as support of business strategies across multiple lines of business, including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid (AHCCCS), ACA, and Commercial.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with various stakeholders internally and/or externally to scope/define projects, documentation of contractual information, and review/analysis of reports as part of Dependable Health Services risk arrangement activities.
  • Maintain a schedule of primary accounts including business, industry, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals.
  • Continually evaluates the effectiveness of the business development performance against market constraints and changes and revises the business development plan as appropriate.
  • Coordinate all agency functional areas to develop a business development focus and strategic plans.
  • Evaluate and prioritize referral sources.
  • Coaches business development representatives on effective business development styles and techniques.
  • Define and evaluate both internal and external customers.
  • Target and create new strategies for increasing business in a highly competitive market.
  • Conduct ongoing in-service education in customer service, telephone techniques, account management, time management, and business development strategy development at the functional level.
  • Conduct ongoing workshops in business development techniques for the business development team.

Your Experience Matters What were looking for:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare area preferably home health, marketing, business administration, or related field; Master's Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience: A minimum of five (5) years experience in a healthcare business development management position with extensive business development experience resulting in measurable results and with direct experience developing managed care agreements.
