Your Role as a Hospice RN
You will provide expert, compassionate care tailored to each patient’s needs, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Specialized Care – Provide comfort-focused nursing care to hospice patients.
Develop Individualized Care Plans – Address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
Administer Medications & Treatments – Manage symptoms according to physician directives.
Educate & Support Families – Offer guidance on end-of-life care and coping strategies.
Collaborate with Care Teams – Work alongside social workers, chaplains, and other team members.
Participate in On-Call Rotation – Ensure 24/7 support for patients when needed.
What You Bring:
Active RN License – Valid and in good standing.
Experience in Hospice or Palliative Care – Minimum of one year preferred.
Strong Communication Skills – Ability to provide clear guidance and emotional support.
Team-Oriented Approach – A collaborative and compassionate mindset.
Critical Thinking & Adaptability – Excellent assessment and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual in Spanish & English – Required for effective patient communication.
Education & Additional Requirements:
Nursing Degree – Associate’s or Bachelor’s from an accredited program.
CPR Certification – Current and valid.
TB Test – Up-to-date.
Reliable Transportation & Auto Insurance – Required for patient visits.
Hospice Knowledge Preferred – Familiarity with hospice care regulations and best practices.
