Who We Are and What We Do?
Our Main Office is in Amityville, New York, and Dependable Hydraulic Services of
New England, is our 35,000 sq. ft location in North Branford, Connecticut where we
repair, service and sell all types of hydraulic components, pumps, valves, motors,
hydraulic winches, gear boxes, collectors, accumulators, steering boxes, cylinders,
and many more. We also have a full machine shop at both locations that perform
various types of machine work. We can machine off a blueprint, or as per your
supplied sample. We perform line boring on-site, to repair cranes, excavators, knuckle booms and more.
Job Summary
Perform timely building and equipment maintenance, repairs, and maintain a clean and safe work area by observing all health and safety guidelines.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including some paint application techniques.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
- Establish appropriate frequency of preventive maintenance activities on all machinery/equipment in the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, and repairs.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety policies & procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work autonomously with little to no supervision.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. at a time.
- Must be able to distinguish among colors.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $35.00 per hour
