What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance Inspector position at Dependable Service Company, Inc?
Job Summary:
The Compliance Inspector performs inspections, and maintenance of compliance programs within the organization. Compliance Inspectors must have a proactive learning approach by attending training(s), receiving and maintaining certifications to ensure that all operations align with relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Comply with all regulations and company procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all team members.
- Comply with legal and company waste management methods, procedures and regulations.
- Drive company service vehicles to customer locations, frequently on a prescribed route.
- Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs (as needed) for the following systems: fluid flow, gas flow, mechanical equipment and other forms of instrumentation.
- Maintains and expands professional knowledge and skill sets through participating in educational opportunities, growing professional networks, becoming a member of respected professional societies and staying abreast of industry trends.
- Pump out petroleum contacted water from tank and dispenser sumps.
- Perform tank and line testing, spill bucket testing.
- Check for proper placement of leak detectors and sensors.
- Perform visual monthly UST inspections of service stations and complete the required UST compliance forms. Provide accurate information while completing the required forms.
- Perform inspections of fueling facilities, which consists of visual observation and survey of site conditions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with customers, fellow team members and supervisors.
- Must be able to work independently without constant direct supervision.
- Must be able to meet the company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
- Willingness and ability to train and manage assigned helper(s).

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Petro-Tite Line Tester or industry equivalent.
- Veeder Root Level 2/3 or higher.
- Obtain API Safety Certification.
