Role Description

We are seeking a Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team at Dependable Yard Care & Landscapes. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and health of our clients' landscapes, contributing to our mission of delivering outstanding service and quality. Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns, pruning trees and trimming shrubs, weeding, raking and cleaning flowerbeds.
• Landscape installations and special projects including plant installs, mulch installs and hardscapes.
• Ensure proper lawn care techniques are applied for healthy growth.
• Maintain groundskeeping standards to enhance the aesthetic appeal of properties.
• Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks and trailers).
• Safely apply weed control and fertilizers.

As the lead team member, you will set the example in behavior, communication and following standard operating procedures and policies. You will be accountable for the actions and results of your work.

At DYC, you can count on a full time schedule, year round (weather permitting). We run on 10 hour shifts (March thru November), (9 hours December thru February), so you get a 3 day weekend! Overtime is available seasonally and we don't work major holidays.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of landscaping experience. Strong knowledge of lawn care practices and techniques.
• This job is full time. We work outdoors in all weather, all year. Strong physical shape is important.
• Clean driving record for 3 years.
• Valid WA driver's license and ability to drive a commercial vehicle.
• Safely driving company vehicles, with or without a trailer
• Successful candidates must be able and willing to operate equipment such as a mower, hedge trimmer, weedeater, or blower after receiving the proper training.
• You will need to be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• No tobacco use is allowed while "on the clock". This includes vaping, chewing or cigarette smoking.
• Enjoys coaching and mentorship. Comfortable training others.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ownership and accountability.
• Have a clear respect and desire to operate day to day with the DYC core beliefs in mind.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
• Basic irrigation knowledge is a plus.

Compensation

Hourly pay from $22/hour up to $30/hour with bonuses. Starting rate of pay is based on your level of relevant experience. Increased wages are based on your willingness to be a part of a Pay four performance bonus plan.

Sick time can be used for covering some weather days, sick time or pre-approved days off.
