What are the responsibilities and job description for the Superintendent - T&D position at Deploy Recruitment Group?
Superintendents with experience working on transmission and distribution (T&D) projects required to plan, schedule and supervise various high voltage (HV) projects, such as substation and transmission line / t-lines schemes.
The role :
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and oversee HV / T&D construction and installation works for direct field teams and sub-contractors
- Ensure all work is scheduled and completed to agreed timescales and budgets, in a safe and efficient manner
- Projects will include substation construction, substation installation, t-lines and associated works at various voltage levels
- Make sure materials are ordered, sourced, managed and used correctly, safely and efficiently, resulting in high-performing field teams
- Ensure sub-contractor compliance for all T&D installation and construction activities
- Maintain strong relationships with sub-contractors and clients, effectively liaising with their representatives
- Work closely with colleagues, including Construction Managers, Project Managers and Project Controls, to ensure successful project delivery, executing any changes to project scope
- Work with the above to agree field changes to design
- Audit and review site safety, including documentation (Pre-Task Analysis, Task Safety Observations etc)
- Prepare daily field reports and document project progress
- Analyse future work to ensure appropriate plans and resourcing is carried out
- Develop and verify field drawings
- Conduct field visits to audit quality of T&D construction and installation works
- Create a punch list for items still to be completed or non-compliant
