Material Handler
Expected Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.00

A Material Handler handles, moves, stores and inspects various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport equipment (e.g., trucks, containers), verifying inbound deliveries properly match purchase orders, moving material with material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, carts), and recording inventory statuses.
Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries of material.
- Label materials and place them accordingly.
- Identify and locate the correct materials during receipt, storage and kitting processes.
- Keep a well-maintained and updated account of material in a warehouse.
- Keep all material handling equipment in service by conducting regular maintenance and inspections.
- Convey select purchasing requirements and data material in short supply.
- Carefully adhere to all safety processes and procedures.

Skills and Specifications
- Experience operating typical warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, carts, overhead doors, etc.
- Demonstrable skills in data entry, math, and measurement.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Practiced time management and organizational skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not require the supervision of direct reports.
Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing and office environment, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role requires the routine use of standard tools of the trade and office equipment.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb, and stand. Regular lifting up to 75 lbs. may occur.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time hourly position. Standard days and hours are 40 hours per week, weekends and extended hours as needed. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on needs.
Travel
Occasional travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- Four to six years of warehousing or related logistics experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Certification in forklift operation optional but preferred.
Work Authorization / Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check.
- Successful pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test and motor vehicle record review.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
