This role involves managing kitchen staff to consistently deliver quality meals on time, overseeing the cleanliness and operation of the dining area, and implementing departmental policies and training. Regular check-ins with staff ensure training goals are met, and accountability is maintained.

Expected Hours of Work
The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.
Work Environment
This job operates in office, facility, and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard kitchen equipment, standard office equipment, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.
Travel
This position requires 10% travel. Travel is dependent on contract load. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.

Essential Functions
- Operations & Compliance
- Oversees overall Food Service (FS) operations, including but not limited to ordering, training, inventory, quality contro,l and sanitation compliance for the dining facility
- Ensures all contract requirements are being met
- Performs checks and ensures that HACCP procedures are followed
- Ensures Sanitation Inspections are completed daily
- Implements and ensures compliance for old and new policies
- Files Daily Field Report
- Staff Management
- Delegate daily tasks to staff as appropriate
- Assists FS Personnel (FSP) in implementing and overseeing training and safety programs
- Assist FSP with Progressive Action Forms and employee feedback
- Reviews and completes staff evaluations and creates training goals for staff in conjunction with FSP
- Conducts weekly and/or biweekly check-ins with staff to ensure training goals are met
- Administrative Oversight
- Experience in the support and development of project/budget scheduling and planning, including recommendations for program objectives, operating schedules, and resource requirements
- Analyzing the business and operational needs to configure POS systems to meet those needs
- Oversee cashiers and cash handling duties
- Manage relationships with Prime Contractor, other subcontractors, as well as contracted vendors to ensure responsiveness to customer requirements
- General Support
- Communicates with FS Project Manager
- Executes and coordinates any catering needs for the dining facility
- Oversees food service equipment on-site and maintains operational readiness
- Coordinates equipment service calls with FS Equipment Manager when required
- Maintains and utilizes various software platforms, including monday.com, Excel, and other relevant programs
Skills And Specifications
- Excellent leadership & management experience and communications skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Possess a current ServSafe Food Manager’s Certificate or equivalent federally recognized health and sanitation program
- Possess or be willing to acquire ServSafe Food Allergen Certification at the company’s expense
- Thorough understanding of quality customer food service and preparation of nutritional meals from different cultural backgrounds.
- Knowledgeable in food inventory control.
- Knowledgeable in inventory control. HACCP, TB MED-530, FDA, and U.S Department of Health and Human Services Food Code standards.
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5 years of large-scale government dining facility operations or equivalent operations experience
- 5 years of general supervisory experience
- 3 years of managing cafeteria operations
