Lead Specialist, Child Well-Being, PRN

Deployed Services serves as a dedicated strategic partner to the government and other clients. To meet our clients’ needs, Deployed Services operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Lead Specialist, Child Well-Being, is the point of contact for matters related to child well-being at DHS sites. This role directs a team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and timely, by providing direction and support, delegating tasks, setting expectations, monitoring performance, delivering coaching and training, resolving conflicts, promoting accountability, and ensuring policy compliance.

Essential Functions:

• Provide related advisement and decision support regarding child well-being and communicate program information to leadership
• Manage all program matters to provide support based on professional opinions, technical expertise, and technical assistance regarding sector-wide concerns for child wellbeing and trauma-informed care
• Coordinate special cases that may be escalated by the CWB Specialist, including facilitation of connection across local, state, and federal resources
• Engage with leadership and all necessary stakeholders to coordinate care and expedite placement
• Maintain and update surge support deployment plan and coordinate the deployment of CWB Specialists to surge support activities
• Coordinate with management about reporting requirements, implementing initiatives, and responding to information requests
• Provide guidance to support continuity in care, eliminate duplication of effort, and synchronize activities across the entire child well-being program
• Respond to information requests by providing standardized process and result metrics reports to support the monitoring and evaluation of program success
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English
• Ability to support multiple sites with ongoing communication and review of assessment data
• Ability to communicate with site and government staff effectively and efficiently
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment within a developing new program
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to prioritize projects and must have strong problem-solving skills
• Good research skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7/365 business environment

Education and Experience:

• Master’s degree in behavioral health or related field; doctoral degree preferred
• Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent within the state(s)
• Five plus years' experience in child development, culturally aware and trauma-centered care, performing clinical evaluations in direct engagement with children and their families
• Two plus years of management experience leading and supervising staff
• Prior experience in cultural humility, child development, trauma-informed care, and psychological distress training and development, preferred but not required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a motor vehicle record check, as well as an employer and government background check (e-QIP or eAPP), after accepting a conditional offer of employment
