Reporting to the President, North America North Region and as a part of DCIs leadership team, the VP, Regional Sales North will act as s a conceptual, creative thought leader. As a visionary and strategic leader, the VP, Regional Sales North will oversee these functions for the purpose of growing the business and increasing revenue. Lead all efforts to create, grow and maintain national accounts and key customer relationships. Create and manage sales goals and marketing strategies that align with and support overall business objectives. Continually monitor pricing strategies to ensure revenue growth, and actively participate in market trend analysis in order to identify potential growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Constantly look at things with a visionary eye and offers creative suggestions and solutions; is energized by challenge and welcomes change.
- Aggressively grow business (annualized goal of 15% per year) through developing sales and marketing strategies including identifying new markets and new products.
- Develop and ensure utilization of tools and resources which generate and qualify business leads supporting the companys growth objectives.
- Creates and implements various marketing activities which raise overall awareness of DCIs capabilities and accomplishments, thereby generating additional sales opportunities.
- Maintain constant awareness of the market and competitor activity to stay ahead of trends.
- Manages key customer relationships and participates in closing strategic opportunities in conjunction with other internal sales resources.
- Coaches, mentors and provides constructive feedback to sales personnel to further develop their business skills and knowledge of the industry.
- Oversees the generation, presentation and negotiation of rate quotes with customers that take into account corporate margin and profit objectives.
- Ensures focus and resolution is brought to any ongoing account collection activities.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and meet aggressive sales goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to influence and persuade
- 7 or more years experience in B2B sales and management of sales teams, preferably in transportation, chemical or logistics industry
- Bachelors degree in business-related discipline
- Must be able to travel and work various hours
- Ability to prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and changing environment
- Display an eagerness and drive to accomplish established goals and objectives.
