Job Duties
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) acts as a principal assistant to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the effective administration, operational, and financial management of all aspects of the facility. The COO serves as a member of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and collaborates with the CEO and ELT in the overall operations of the hospital, ensuring the effective delivery of services to patients in accordance with the facility’s mission and regulatory requirements. The COO leads the Support Services Departments, including Physical Plant, Procurement, Information Technology, Food Services, Environmental Services, Pharmacy, Safety, and Security.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Hospital / Public Administration or equivalent training, coursework or experience.
- Considerable experience in a management or supervisory position in a behavioral health or health care setting (for at least 3 years).
- Experience with budget development and implementation.
