Job Duties

To provide and manage the daily administrative HIM operations on an assigned unit, providing administrative support as needed. To maintain accurate and complete Medical Records through hands-on chart review management, chart analysis and concurrent chart auditing during the admission of a patient until discharge.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience HIM tech or healthcare setting as a medical record technician, record clerk, unit secretary, or similar position
Experience with Microsoft Office applications, office equipment
Experience and knowledge of medical terminology


Additional Considerations

Demonstrated experience with filing systems strongly preferred
Experience working in a medical setting, psychiatric/mental health hospital preferred
Experience with maintaining/auditing/analyzing medical records preferred.
