Job Duties

Working knowledge of pharmacy production methods and therapeutic treatment as it relates to adolescent through geriatric medicine.
Working knowledge of pharmacy policies and procedures.
Ability to accurately dispense drugs and keep records.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, organize work, and follow safety rules.
Computer literacy is essential

Minimum Qualifications

Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
Certified Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
Working knowledge of pharmacy production methods.
Working knowledge of the names and classifications of drugs according to use, effect, and dosage.
Working skill in the use of pharmacy equipment.
Possesses a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others, set priorities, type and keep accurate records. Computer literacy is essential

PGH is a facility operated by the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). PGH is a 123-bed psychiatric facility and the only facility that exclusively serves individuals over the age of 65.
