Job Duties

The Transportation Operator II will also be responsible for the removal of soiled linens from units and take to the laundry for processing; removal of trash from the units and take to the dumpster for disposal; the delivery of drug boxes and lab boxes throughout WSH and CCCA; the transport of patients and staff to medical appointments; Check fluids and inspect all vehicle components for any deficiencies and to assist with snow and ice removal.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Valid Operator’s License with safe driving record
- Commercial Driver's License
- Working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles and working knowledge of state laws, local ordinances and agency regulations governing equipment being operated
- Skilled in the use of various hand and shop tools for maintenance of vehicles
- Good mechanical skills and excellent safety practices
- Ability to perform essential functions of this position, which include: ability to read, write, communicate clearly, follow instructions, perform basic math calculations, lift heavy objects, walking on various surfaces and work in various weather conditions
- Ability to follow directions provided by skilled technicians, work independently and to make decisions on how to perform the required tasks
- Ability to operate motor vehicles and snow equipment and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
