JOB PURPOSE
Senior Account Managers at DEPT Marketing Creative are responsible for leading and overseeing the development and delivery of the day-to-day work we deliver for specific client(s). We expect Senior Account Managers to understand their clients' needs, business, goals, and develop strong relationships with day-to-day client(s). Senior Account Managers represent DEPT to our clients, adding value to relationships beyond organizational skills doing a mixture of account management and strategic planning.
Senior Account Managers are focused on exceptional output, ensuring that all client requests and deliverables are delivered on brief and to the highest standard. Senior Account Managers are expected to be 3-steps ahead and be able to anticipate where opportunities and challenges may arise and plan accordingly to capitalize on or mitigate as appropriate. Senior Account Managers are expected to be comfortable and credible in front of clients.
Candidates must have experience managing teams and complex, high-volume social work streams for brands and be calm and controlled in high-pressure situations. We need people who can contribute to big ideas as well as lots of little ones that are framed in a solid strategy grounded in insight and ultimately deliver a tangible ROI for our clients. Most importantly, we need a Senior Account Manager to inspire their team and earn the trust and respect of their clients and team.
PROFICIENCY EXPECTATIONS
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
- Ability to work in partnership with day-to-day mid level clients to develop and deliver the work
- Ability to reach out to clients directly when service issues arise
- Ability to develop and present solutions for our clients
- Ability to present work internally and externally; leading client-facing presentations for day-to-day or lower complex work
- Responsible for developing, maintaining and running recurring client status reports
- Responsible for being the day-to-day relationship holder for the client within DEPT
- Responsible for ensuring the client’s best interests are central to all decision-making, without compromising the agency’s values.
- Expected to drive active engagement on client calls and able to field questions on behalf of the team and work
- Expected to be comfortable and credible in front of clients
- Expected to become an expert in the clients’ landscape and needs

The anticipated salary range for this position is $84,100 – $112,000. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
