Job Duties
Position serves in one of the Chief roles within the Health Services Unit providing statewide support in achieving and maintaining compliance with Operating Procedures, Guidelines, and Standards governing the provision of medical care plan through directing and coordinating day-to-day health services operations. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications

Ability to conduct appropriate judgement evaluation of alternative options with cost-benefit consequence and execute appropriate decisions.
Ability to assess performance of a unit or organization for the need of improvements or corrective actions.
Effective communication to all levels of an organization and external partners.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships. Knowledge of business and management principles.
Knowledge of strategic planning and resource allocation.
Ability to travel to all VADOC facilities and units.
Additional Considerations
Experience working with or in government agency operations.
Advanced degree in public policy, public administration, business, public health, healthcare administration or other applicable area.
Extensive leadership experience.
Experience managing and/or directing an organization of 200 individuals.
Previous healthcare experience.
