Job Duties
Perform HR related functions for employees at Wallen's Ridge State Prison with DOC, Federal, state and other mandated policies. Collaborates with HRO to ensure a positive culture and effective customer service in all areas of Human Resources. Ensures accurate, efficient administration of human resource operations to include payroll processing, benefits administration, personnel file maintenance, data entry into Cardinal and the database and assist when necessary with time/leave maintenance. Assist the Human Resource Officer in day to day duties and acts as an HR advocate providing employees, managers, and the public with appropriate assistance as dictated by the situation.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Skilled in record and file management systems. Skilled in Microsoft applications including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Demonstrated ability to record and organize statistical data, apply logical sequence to the analysis and resolution of issues.
Additional Considerations
Knowledge of general HR policies and procedures. Knowledge of federal, state employment law in regards to FLSA, EEO, Workers Compensation, ADA and FMLA. Experience in administration, preferably in HR environment. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
