Job Duties
The Department of Environmental Quality's Office of Financial Managment (OFM) is seeking a qualified candidate for its Grants Administrative Program. As assigned, this position is responsible for completing the finance functions related to DEQ funding requests and awards (budget preparation and/or review, application preparation and certain reporting). This position is also responsible for completing the finance functions related to the subawards and grants DEQ issues to external entities (budget review, substantive preparation). This position also serves as a subject matter expert in these areas and is responsible for completing special projects as needed by the Grants Administrative Program and/or OFM.

Demonstrated skills analyzing, summarizing and communicating complex information.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and professionally with colleagues, management and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated skills in tracking detailed information. Data entry and/or reporting and analysis skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage a demanding workload while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets and word processing software. Advanced skill in spreadsheets is plus.
Demonstrated ability to identify / implement process improvements.
Demonstrated skills in grant applications, grant awards and grants management.
