The Virginia Department of Health Profession's (DHP) mission is to ensure safe and competent patient care by licensing health professionals, enforcing standards of practice, and providing information to health care practitioners and the public.
The Discipline Support Specialist performs office support functions related to the disciplinary caseload within the Board of Pharmacy. This includes copying cases, preparing and mailing drafted notices and orders related to informal conferences and formal hearings, preparing/mailing/scanning consent orders and other disposition documents, ensuring all correspondence is properly prepared and disseminated, closing cases and uploading closed cases to MLO.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to problem solve issues and research relevant documentation to ensure quality service.
- Maintain automated and hard copy record keeping.
- Knowledge of basic office principles and practices to include word processing, database management systems, grammar, and punctuation standards.
- Skill in using Microsoft Office Suite.
