Job Duties
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Accounts Payable Supervisor. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency’s Fiscal Division.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
This position provides oversight and supervision of the accounts payable function.
Reviews, approves and releases disbursement vouchers for payment. Ensures compliance with all applicable policies, regulations and laws related to disbursements.
Administers the agency petty cash account, Bank of America Travel Card Program, and any agency transportation program for employees.
Responsible for ensuring processing of invoices approved through the K2 system and ensuring they K2 process is completed.
Responsible for overseeing all Disbursements Unit Reconciliations to include Petty Cash, K2, Oracle, FAS payment processing systems, Travel Cards and Reimbursement Vouchers to employees.
Supports the Healthcare Reconciliation with ATV processing, Employee Transportation reconciliation and processing and Weight Watchers Recon processes.
Serves as a back up to review and certify payroll processed by Department of Accounts' Payroll Service Bureau.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Considerable work-related knowledge and experience of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP} and practices.
Considerable work-related knowledge and experience of financial procedures and requirements related to the accounts payable and disbursement functions.
Work-related knowledge of payroll functions, policies and procedures.
Considerable work-related experience in preparing financials reports and reconciliations.
Considerable work-related knowledge and experience developing financial policies and procedures.
Considerable work-related knowledge with excel.
Considerable work-related experience meeting deadlines.
Considerable work-related experience analyzing, interpreting, applying state and federal laws, policies, and regulations.
Considerable work-related experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Additional Considerations
Competitive candidates will meet these additional considerations:
Demonstrated experience with Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS), Cardinal Financials, Cardinal HCM, Oracle Financials, or similar systems.
